Feds and Nadal fight it out tomorrow
Well, I’ll be up at 6AM Pacific Time again tomorrow, as Nadal and Federer will once again be battling it out in the Wimbledon final. I saw both semifinal matches today (time delayed, boo) and neither was particularly exciting. You could see in their opponents that the unbroken days of playing match after match really wore them down. Djokovic retired with a foot injury, and Gasquet just looked like he didn’t have three sets in him.
Tomorrow it seems like every advanatge goes to Federer, but I have my hopes held out for Nadal to improve upon his performance last year. I’m not sure I expect much of either one though - I’m in the camp that this Wimbledon has been a total mess due to all of the rescheduling, and that we’re unlikely to see any spectacular tennis tomorrow.
