Mauresmo out of Sydney Intl; injured
More injuries are starting to pop up - and so early in the season. I think players are being a bit cautious with the AO so close, but this could impact the strength of the field.
Amelie Mauresmo’s build-up to the Australian Open suffered a setback yesterday when she was forced to withdraw from the Sydney International with a groin strain.
“Unfortunately I have re-injured my left adductor,” said Mauresmo. “I felt it yesterday during a training session and did not practice today.
“This is an injury that I am familiar with and I have to take a few days rest in order for it to get better.” The Herald
