Maria’s dad looks like an assassin
RUSSIAN Maria Sharapova is almost as well known for her fashion sense as her tennis, but it seems her father, Yuri Sharapov, doesn’t take any cues from her when it comes to clothing. Asked after beating Lindsay Davenport about her father’s “hoodie”, the world No. 5 said she has no control over what he wears. “Nike gave it to him, unfortunately,” she said. “He looks like an assassin. I swear, he’s a really nice guy, but I told him, ‘You look like an assassin with that jacket on’. She said his courtside attire was no fault of hers and he had the hood over his head because he felt unwell. “He has a cold, so he told me he had to put the hood on. I said, ‘You can wear it, but don’t put the hood on’, but he’s like, ‘I have a cold’. It was really funny.” The Age
