Davenport plans to play Wimbledon
Lindsay Davenport hasn’t had a great comeback season in the past few months - she hasn’t played in a tournament since April and withdrew from a Wimbledon warm-up event with a knee injury. However, she still plans to give Wimbledon a shot:
“I am very disappointed to be unable to compete here but I unfortunately injured my right knee in practice over the weekend and was unable to recover in time for today’s match,” Davenport said in a brief statement released by Eastbourne organizers. “I look forward to it getting better and resting and, of course, being able to play next week at Wimbledon.” Fox Sports on MSN
